This summer, Dr. Anthony Schepsis, along with Coastal Orthopedics, and in conjunction with Beverly – Lahey Health, hosted a week long sports medicine seminar, geared towards orthopedic surgeons having a desire to stay on the cutting edge of technology in sports medicine, shoulder, and knee disorders.

This course was founded and developed by Dr. Anthony Schepsis, who is also a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine.  Dr. Schepsis will continue to chair and run this course, which boasts a faculty of internationally known experts in the field of sports medicine, knee and shoulder disorders.

The course, entitled “Evaluation and Treatment of the Injured Athlete” was held at The Harborview Resort, in Edgartown, on Marthas Vineyard in early August. Although geared towards orthopedic surgeons, it is also applicable to primary care physicians with a special interest in sports medicine, physical therapists, and athletic trainers.
